St John's College was a private day and boarding school located in Southsea and in 2022 the College confirmed it would not be reopening after going into liquidation.

A number of buildings exist on the site that were built or owned by Thomas Ellis Owen, the architect and chief surveyor for the Portsmouth area in the mid 1800s. The site is in the conservation area "Owen's Southsea", which Owen skilfully laid out to combine high density and picturesque effect. The old school made use of these existing residential buildings and also expanded over the years to introduce an eclectic mix of larger buildings and styles.

The site is a short walk from the sea front and well situated for access to the University and local businesses. It is also a 20 minute walk from both Fratton, and Portsmouth and Southsea train stations.
